About Me

I'm a credited writer on two direct-to-video animated features for Lionsgate, both currently streaming on VUDU:  The Giant King starring Bella Thorne and Russell Peters and Elephant Kingdom starring Cary Elwes, Patrick Warburton and Alexa PenaVega.

I've had a third animated feature produced independently -- still seeking distribution.

I've been hired for several other projects, including the adaptation of a Taiwanese film for American audiences.

In the TV arena, I developed a new kids' television series which earned a six-figure film and research grant.

Prior to these projects, among other things, I worked on an adaptation of the popular children’s book Hug by Jez Alborough for the Oscar-winning producer of the film Crash.

I'm experienced at pitching to producers and studio execs.

I've read hundreds of screenplays for fellow writers and producers.

I've been a judge for the Austin Film Festival screenplay and teleplay competition.

At varying times, I've been represented by multiple managers, a solo agent, several agents at UTA and two entertainment lawyers.

I'm the only Nicholl Fellow to win with an animation script.

I was a semi-finalist at the Austin Film Festival.

I'm happy to answer questions, via email, about any of the above experiences.

I enjoy a good movie in any genre.

Unlike some in the industry, I actually like reading screenplays.

I also write web content, including ghost blogs, for hire.

Before writing, I practiced law for several years at a large firm in Manhattan.

I graduated with honors from Cornell Law School and Loyola College in Maryland.

I live on Long Island with my wife and three children.
